Spellbinders Bibi's Pop Up Snowflake Ornament

 

It's always good to try and think up new ways to use your dies, althugh this one makes such an outstanding card it pays for itself.

I had this idea of making a 2-sided ornament by gluing 2 of the snowflakes together. This would only work if the die is symmetical. Luckily it was. Bibi Cameron has a great YT video showing how to put this snowflake together but also several ideas of how to use the die. It would look great on a package as a topper, or you could use the snowflake flat on the card front and cover the pop up sentiment with a stitched shape die.

In my video below, I show how to put the die together, cutting it out 2x and gluing them together back to back. I used some pretty glitter cardstock to make it extra special.

Spellbinders Envelope of Wonder

I think this Spellbinders dieset is so good, it's called Envelope of Wonder. It's a die that creates an envelope and includes dies for flowers and leaves to fill the envelope. There are additional add-on diesets to fill the envelope, Autumn, Halloween, Christmas. There's a link below to the entire collection. You can fit a gift card inside the envelope, if so desired.

I've only been making these videos for a short time and have finally realized I need to film in landscape mode. In the past I've posted reels which work better in portrait. You learn something new everyday.

Spellbinders Crocus and Ladybugs Card and Box

I made 2 projects for the Spellbinders Release of Crocus and Ladybugs from the Snow Garden Collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. This set is a great value at the current price of $10.99. I linked it below. For both projects I used the same producrs but one I put on a card and the other I used for a box topper. I made the small box but you can easily buy a box and do the same thing, or make it into a tag for a gift bag!

Stampendous Snowman Hugs for Spellbinders

Spellbinders sent me the Snowman Hugs dieset and I made 3 projects, a slimline card, a tag and a round tag/gift topper.

It can easily be turned into an ornament by attaching a piece of string or ribbon onto the back or sandwiching between the layers of the circle.

Spellbinders Bibi's Snowflake Pop Up Card

 

Well, I really did try to take a photo of this fabulous card using Bibi's Snowflake Pop Up die for Spellbinders but it's not possible to get a good photo. So here is an up close photo of the snowflake when the card is opened. It's amazing.

Here is a YouTube video of how I put together the snowflake. I made 2 cards using this snowflake, one with printed paper that I added some silver embossing powder, the other was an ink blended card using Distress Oxide inks.

The paper is from Your Paper Insider, Box 4. the paper is called "Silver Disco Ball Metallic". It is a heavy weight paper (12pt cover, which they tell me is about 92 lb cover). I cut all the snowflake pieces from it, and with the scraps I cut the small snowflakes. Using a regular hole punch, I cut the small circles that look like sequins. I didn't want to waste any of this special paper! I hope you check out this great paper box, over 20 pieces of papercurrently, it's $29.95 (INCLUDING delivery)
