Celebration on a Card!

I make a LOT of cards. Yet somehow when I need a birthday card, I don't have one or it's too dimensional to mail. So I decided to make some pretty but flat cards.

Here I used the Sizzix "Celebrate" dieset by Tim Holtz. I just love the cake here. It has so many subtle details and looks great when complete. The background is alcohol inked foil cardstock, random bright colors. I used Distress Alcohol Inks and let it dry. Once dry I embossed it with the Mosaic embossing folder. Simple! These are old products but are still available in a few places. I'll link them below.

I'm going to make a bunch of these cakes and put them on my stash of backgrounds.

That's it for today. Products are listed below. Using any of my links to make a purchase gives me a small commission at no extra charge to you. This is greatly appreciated and allows me to continue sharing content. It also lets these stores know you find my content useful. Thank you for the support.

Spellbinders Make It & Bake It Recipe Card

I hope to have time to make a recipe journal, using the Spellbinders Make It & Bake It Collection. Really, any of the diesets would work with a recipe collection, you can see the entire collection by clicking HERE.

I've used these products several times, if you look at my past cards on this blog you can see others.

Until I have time to make a journal, I made a card using the Essential Envelope by Wendi Vecchi. You could insert a gift card in place of a recipe. I printed the recipe on a piece of copy paper, adjusted it so it would fit on the tabbed card. I took the tabbed card die (from the Essential Envelope Add On Set) and used it to be sure it was properly centered then copied it onto a piece of cardstock and then diecut it.

The black and white paper is from the Scrapbookcom Berry Sweet paper pad. I embossed the pink paper with the embossing folder from Spellbinders.

That's it for today. Products are listed below. Using any of my links to make a purchase gives me a small commission at no extra charge to you. This is greatly appreciated and allows me to continue sharing content. It also lets these stores know you find my content useful. Thank you for the support.

Spellbinders February 3D Embossing Folder of the Month on Solar Paste!

I forgot how much I liked to use Ranger Solar Paste on black paper. Here I used a blending tool to apply it to black Mixed Media cardstock let it dry COMPLETELY and then embossed it with the Spellbinders February 3D embossing folder of the month.

Here is an old video I made for YouTube that shows the process:

The wheelbarrow is cut from a scrap of copper metallic cardstock and backed with black cardstock. The leaves and flowers are cut from scraps of Solar Paste on black paper. I have a lot of these, all different colors of Solar Paste. These dies are from the February Small Die of the Month. I have another card using this set that you can see HERE.

You can learn more about the Spellbinders Clubs and the benefits of membership by clicking HERE.

The sentiment is from the Simon Hurley Bunny Buddies dieset. I have another card from this set on my blog you can see HERE.

That's it for today!

Magic Mixer from the Spellbinders Make It & Bake It Collection

I'm loving this Make It & Bake It Collection by Tina Smith for Spellbinders. You can see the entire colleciton by clicking HERE.
I posted a few cards the other day using some of the other diesets in the collection. You can see those HERE.

Today's card uses the Magic Mixer dieset, this cute electric mixer and bowl. I wanted it to look like the mixer was still on when it was pulled out of the bowl...have you ever done that before? Here is a quick video on how I put this card together:

Pretty fun, right? That's it for today, the supplies are listed below with clickable links. If you use my link to make a purchase, I receive a small commission at no extra charge to you! This allows me to continue sharing content. Thank you!
