Simon Hurley has a new collection for Spellbinders called, "Photosynthesis". For this card I used 2 diesets, the "Ceramic Vases" etched dies and the "Daffodil Frame" etched dies. There are more dies in this collection and some Glimmer dies, I'll link the entire collection below, scroll down to see the photos of the products.
I started by using Simon Hurley's Lunar Paste in "Slippery When Wet" (gold), "Prom Queen" (fuchsia) and "Crown Me" (purple). I used the Scrapbookcom Craft Scraper to spread out the pastes.
I let these air dry, it was a thin coat so it took maybe 45 min to fully dry. You can use a heat tool to dry them but only if it's a thin coat. A thicker coat will only dry the top layer.

If you look closely at the vases and daffodils, you can see the texture the etching creates in the diecuts. The vases can be diecut without the texture if you choose, the etching is on a seperate die. I taped the 2 dies together to get the texture on the vase and ran it through at the same time.

This is a reinactment of what I did, in reality I spread the lunar paste on a larger piece of cardstock and cut all the vases out at once. Much easier!
I cut the Daffodil Frames 4x from black cardstock. I cut the frames off by free hand cutting the petals, leaves, etc into the frame. I glued the 4 daffodil plants onto a black cardstock panel sized 4.75" x 6.25". (This is 1/4" smaller than the 5 x 6.5" card I placed it on, leaving a white border around the card panel).
I then arranged the 6 vases under the daffodils, overlapping a few. You can see in the photo that I cut the tall vase 2x in different colors to fit the card.
There are seperate daffodil dies so you could cut different colors of flowers and attach them to the plants, I thought about gold flowers to match the vases but in the end I like the dramatic look of the black on black.
That's it. I will be sharing more cards using the Simon Hurley Photosynthesis collection on Instagram @Susanbcards over the next few days.
