Today I'm sharing my card using an old embossing folder, Altenew's "Blossoming Branches". This one looks great, but really any embossing folder with a good amount of recessed background would work.
At the end of the video, I have another example using a Simon Says Stamp embossing folder. Here is the video:
I used 110 lb black cardstock (mine is from Hobby Lobby), lightly misted the back of the paper and embossed the panel using Altenew's Blossoming Branches.
I then used an anti static powder bag on the panel. We have the heat on in my house, I could hear the static when I opened the embossing folder! I used Versamark Ink over the raised areas, and applied and heated gold embossing powder.
The painting is very easy, I used Finetec Pearlescent watercolors, and painted horizontally. You'll see the paint strokes when it dries.
That's it! I used gold cardstock to mat my panel and mounted it on an A2 sized card.
