Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Party!

 

Hello and Happy STAMPtember! I'm joining Simon Says Stamp for a party to celebrate their 15th STAMPtember.

I'm sharing my card using their stamp set called, "Grateful Florals". Yesterday I shared a different card using the same set but I colored all the flowers in using Copic markers. I'm not a great colorist, so for me that was time consuming. 

Fot today's card, I cut a piece of cardstock to 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". I used 1 inch low take tape to create a border around the edge. I ink blended the center of the card with Distress Oxide inks in Fossilized Amber, Ripe Persimmon and Lumberjack Plaid (I started with Candied Apple but thought it looked too orange). 

Peel off the tape and let the ink dry completely (you can use a heat gun or just let it dry on it's own.) It must be dry or the embossing powder will stick to it.

I used a anti-static bag all over the panel, even on the border where the tape was in case there's a bit of stickiness where the tape was. I then used Versamark to ink the stamp. Then poured the gold embossing powder over the ink and heated it. Brutus Monroe makes the best gold embossing powder.

I mounted the panel onto a gold metallic cardstock and then on orange cardstock for 2 mats. I then adhered all this onto a plain white square card.
