I watched Susan Tierney-Cockburn's YouTube Video for this Cymbidium Orchid. I enjoy watching her videos on how to put her flower dies together. Not only do you get step by step instructions, you get a lot of information on the flowers. This orchid is part of her "Winter's Grace Garden" Colleciton.
I cut the petals from regular cardstock and colored them using Copics (R20, RV81, RV21). For the leaves and stems, I used (YG11, G24 and YG17.Mine didn't come out as beautiful as hers did but I really enjoy her diesets. I love making dimensional cards. I also like the way they look on boxes, a nice replacement for a bow!
The background is one from my stash, I dipped and splattered Distress Paints. I wish I could tell you more about it but I made it last year. I thought it was too muddy looking but looked great with these pinky peach flowers.
That's it for today, I wish I had more info to share. Go watch Susan Tierney-Cockburn's video on YouTube for more inspiration!
