The sixth and final flower from the Spellbinders "Through the Meadow" Collection, called "Painted Daisy".
The flower is cut from Hammermill cardstock. It's a larger flower cut 2x, layered with a smaller flower cut 2x. I used Copic markers to color the petals. I used the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Shaping Kit to give dimension to my flowers. The center is cut from brown cardstock and after shaping and gluing to the flower, I used some Liquid Pearls to dot the centers. This little detail made the flower come to life. The lady bug die is included in this set. I shaped it and put some Glossy Accents on it.
After attaching the leaves, the card looked a bit empty so I added a "Black Alder" branch and leaf. The sentiment is from this same collection, I used ink and the BetterPress plate.
For the background, I used Distress Ink in Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry. I embossed it with the Spellbinders 3D Embossing Folder of the Month.
