Susanbcards: CAS-ing a Card!

I've been seeing so many of the Jennifer McGuire Sunflower card and so many people who keep saying they can't find the Sunflower Serenade die that she used. I really liked the card but not something I would normally make since I really don't enjoy diecutting the same image over and over. I rarely make the same card 2x and when I do it's usually to videotape the process. If you haven't seen the video, it's on her YouTube channel called, "Cardstock Organization + Cards".

I liked the way the card looked but I wanted to make it my way. Although I have the Sunflower die, I decided to use something similar but different. The Altenew Coreopsis die is similar but it has 2 sizes of flowers, 1 bud, a stem and a bunch of leaf dies. I used the 2 flower heads and 2 of the leaf dies. For cardstock, I went into my Your Paper Insider stash and chose some pretty bright colors. It's so great to have these boxes of specialty papers on hand for fun options.

This card is 5" x 6.5", I wanted to fit a bunch of flowers on the front. I have a pack of these ready made cards and envelopes on hand, sometimes I get tired of cutting card bases. Plus I have a lot of scraps from cutting the paper down.

Although I used a rainbow of colors for my flowers, I kept the center of each flower the same color, it keeps the look cohesive. The card has a bit of dimension, I also fluffed up a few of the petals but no foam tape. I diecut the sentiment 3x to make it stand out a bit. I love this Hello die but I don't see it available anywhere I usually shop, it's called the Altenew Waterbrush Hello die. Sorry!!
