Today I'm trying a variation of a technique I saw on Juliana Michel's YouTube channel called "Distress Archival Ink Backgrounds". She used a few colors to completely cover a piece of paper and then stamped on it. She used Ranger Archival Ink, which is similar to Ranger BetterPress ink. I have 2 sets of Dina Wakely's Ranger Better Press inks which I received from Spellbinders. They also carry the reinkers.
The technique is to ink smoosh using Isopropyl Alcohol (rubbing alcohol). When using Isopropyl, be sure to work in a well ventilated area as it can be an irritant. Keep it away from your eyes and know it's flammable as all alcohol is. Juliana used a small spray bottle but I also tried a medicine dropper and that worked pretty much the same. She inked Ranger Specialty Stamping Paper, I used the same.
Here is my YouTube video showing the process:
Supplies are listed below with direct links to the stores that carry them. If you use my link to make a purchase, I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you.
