Today I'm sharing the Spellbinders Barn Star Wreath by Annie Williams. The entire Country Christmas Collection can be seen HERE. It's very cute!
For the first card, I used copper metallic cardstock. I like the look, it reminds me of tin art, where they make holes to make a design. There are 2 sets of designs to use on the star points. The dies make an impression on the paper that can be lightly folded to give the star dimension. I did that on the first star. I then made a second solid star from gold cardstock to back the holes.
For the background, I took some old patterned cardstock. It's a tiedye look with gold splashed on it. I know it's no longer available but there are many cardstocks like that. I embossed it with the 3D embossing folder from the same collection. This time I embossed it so the design was impressed into the card, and using the black out technique of rubbing the ink pad over it highlights the design. I used Sapphire BetterPress ink.
The sentiment is a BetterPress sentiment from the same collection. I love the shape of the die that cuts it out.
I wanted it to look as though the star was hanging from a front door. I love the little sentiment shape. I added a few gold "holes". These are included in the sentiment dieset.
That's it for today, linked below are the supplies I used with clickable links. If you use my links, it lets the stores know you find my content useful. Thank you so much.
