Today I'm sharing the Cuckoo Cottage. Isn't it adorable? When I was little I thought it would be cool to have a cuckoo clock. I still think they are beautiful. So when I saw this collection I thought it'd be so fun to create cards with this dieset. You can dress up this house for Halloween, Fall or Christmas using the add on sets. You have to start with this basic house. You can see the entire collection HERE.
I decided to go basic and just learn to put it together. It's pretty easy by just following the photo on the package. If you go to the Spellbinders store you can find the layering instructions.
There's also a BetterPress sentiment set with Cuckoo Clock themed sentiments. I used black ink on my sentiments, and there's a matching die to cut them out in one swoop. I like that, especially since I'm making cards with each of the add on sets.
I used regular colored cardstock for most of the pieces and pulled out scraps of metallic cardstock for the chains. I layered them on top of kraft cardstock for stability. The background is embossed with the Geo Quilt embossing folder.
