Your Paper Insider Design Team Oct 2025 Instagram Hop

Today I'm taking part in the Your Paper Insider (YPI) Design Team Instagram Hop! In case you didn't know, I recently was invited to join their first Design Team.

You can also see all the cards on the Your Paper Insider Blog by clicking HERE.

For my card I used several YPI papers. The background is Silver Holographic Oil Slick, isn't it gorgeous? The red paper for the lantern is Cherry Red cardstock, the leaves are in Lime Satin Shine, these papers are from Box 2. The Holographic Oil Slick is also available in a 10 pack. For the 'Peace" and the berries, I used Non-Shed Glitter Cardstock, a 24 pack of assorted colors. I also used the dark green paper on the evergreen branches, I'm not sure which box this is from. I would say that this is the real advantage of joining the YPI subscription boxes, to have assorted papers on hand. I have so many papers to choose from, I don't have to run to the store to look for just the right paper! Plus there aren't any stores near me that sell paper by the sheet anymore.

The house is cut from Cherry Wood paper, also from YPI. It has a gorgeous color and a beautiful wood grain, it's real wood! Super thin easily diecut. The house die is by Sizzix/Tim Holtz. The die cuts a dimensional house but I cut the side tabs down to 1/2" and scored that tab at 1/4" so the house wouldn't stand so far out from the card. You can read my tutorial HERE.

The other diecuts are also Tim Holtz/Sizzix dies, I linked them under supplies, except for the lantern, it's by Pinkfresh Studio. It's actually a die that is great for year round, it can make a great masculine card. This die has been very popular, I'd hurry and buy it if you're interested. It has some stencils if you want to put a stenciled image inside the lantern or you can get the stencil to color the lantern itself. You can see that collection HERE.

I used Scrapbookcom thin foam strips to pop up the lantern and tied on the cord, I think it's from Michaels, it's old, from my stash. I used some Clear Distress Rock Candy Glitter for a snowy effect on the house and spattered a little white luster brush but you can use thinned white acrylic paint and a small paintbrush.

Thank you for visiting!

The supplies I used are linked below. Using my link for any purchase gives me a small commission at no extra cost to you and lets these stores know you find my content useful. Thank you! It allows me to continue this creative journey and share content.
