Susanbcards: Spellbinders Regal Reflections Collection

Regal Reflections is a new collection from Spellbinders. It has an Asian influence, embellished arches and the look of pottery. You can see the entire colleciton by clicking HERE.

I decided to use a white background, cutting the Arch Punch and Pierce Plate. The plate is a single piece but it cuts 3 pierced arches. I used the inner 2, and saved the 3rd arch for another project. The sample photo under supplies shows 3 different color arches in shades of peach. You'd have to either color each arch by hand or cut the plate 3 times from 3 different colors of cardstock. There is a second die included that cuts the outer edge of the arch, so you can also cut a solid arch to back the plate with a different color you can see through the pierced edges.

I had to cut the gold metallic mat by hand. I just eyeballed it.

The Regal Blooms Etched dieset is a set of flowers and a vase. The vase has small piercings like the arch. I just backed it with gold metallic cardstock to carry the theme. I cut the vase 2 more times to pop it up off the paper.

The flowers are several layers of pieces that I cut from white, yellow and light yellow paper, leaves cut from 2 shades of green and dark green stems. I cut down the stems so that the flowers would fit inside the arch. If you look at the Spellbinders website/store, you can often find instructions on how the diecut pieces fit together. Look under the item where there are some examples and photos of the product, usually there is an instruction sheet. Very helpful. It looks like this. I just save it to my computer and then print it out.

The sentiment is from an all in one press plate. I black Glimmer foiled it and there is a die that cuts the sentiments out. I keep them in a small baggie for when I need a quick sentiment. This one is the Birthday Wishes Press Plate.
