Spellbinders Say Cheese Classic Mouse Christmas!

We're dressing up Steamboat Willie (aka Mickey or Classic Mouse) for the holidays! If you bought Steamboat Willie, Spellbinders has 2 add on sets for Christmas, you can see the collection HERE.

I used my Steamboat Willie dieset and added on the wreath and some extras. I placed the Merry on the embossed background and popped up the Classic Mouse with foam dots. So cute!

Supplies are listed below with direct links to the stores that carry them. If you use my link to make a purchase, I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thank you for using my links, it really helps and encourages me to continue providing creative content.

Spellbinders Bibi's Musical Notes Collection

Today I used Spellbinders Bibi's Musical Notes Collection. You can see the entire collection by clicking HERE. How can you not love this collection? The images can be used for any music lover, guitarist and can be made as a masculine card.

I wanted to make a bright card, thought of Prince and his purple guitar. Of course, I had to make it shiny with purple glitter paper and used the Mini Guitar dieset. There is also a Majestic Guitar which is much larger. This paper is in Box 12 from Your Paper Insider. The metallic paper is a scrap I had from some Recollections paper (Michael's). I thought that it would be nice shadow and luckily it matched. Everything else I used is from my scrap folders. I separate them by color and put them in hanging folders in my desk.

For the background I used Glossy black cardstock from Your Paper Insider Box 12. Isn't it perfect? I used the embossing folder from this collection. The paper did crack a bit around some of the raised areas, so I took a black sharpie and went over the white cracking and you can't see them now.

The sentiment stamps are a great collection. They have all the relatives you can pretty much think of and some sweet sentiments like the one I used, "Never to old to rock and roll". I used the rectangular tag from Documenting Labels dieset to cut it out. Handy to have.

That's it for today!

Supplies are listed below with direct links to the stores that carry them. If you use my link to make a purchase, I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thank you for using my links, it really helps and encourages me to continue providing creative content.

Your Paper Insider Design Team!

I'm happy to announce I've been invited to joint the Your Paper Insider Design Team for 2025-2026!

I've said several times that it's so useful to have a box of specialty paper delivered to my home 4x a year. The subscription is $29.95 per box (INCLUDES delivery!). You can join and quit at any time.

I used to buy my specialty paper by the sheet from Archivers many years ago but since they closed there really isn't anywhere near me to get beautiful papers by the sheet. I know you can order on line but I like it's difficult to choose paper unless you know what you are looking for. It's also expensive to ship.

I love the surprise in my mailbox 4x a year, I keep all these papers separate in my paper stash and try my hardest not to hoard. Here is a link to Your Paper Insider, HERE.

Today I used the Copper Curious Alchemy paper from box 12, which is the current box.

I used an older Simon Says Stamp embossing folder called, Blossom Field. I rubbed a black Archival ink pad on the inside of the folder before running it through my Big Shot. The ink makes the background slightly darker, it's not a blackout.

For the bird, I diecut the Lovely Layers Spring Birds in some scraps and popped it up slightly on my card. The branch is from the Tim Holtz's Fright Night dieset.

That's it for today, thank you for visiting!

Spellbinders Falling Leaves and Documenting Labels

Who doesn't like leaves? They look great on a card and can be made in several colors. This set includes the little acorn, which adds a different shape to your card. I cut these from some leftover Distress inked paper. I love color variation. They are the Spellbinders Falling Leaves from the Autumn Archives Collection.

This collection really lends itself to scrapbooking or journaling, you can see all the pretty paper that works with it and all the dies by clicking HERE.

I used the Documenting Labels dieset, some of which perfectly fit these leaves. It includes the hole reinforcer, which is soooo cute. I embossed 2 of the tags with the Simon Hurley Damask embossing folder. This one is in the Halloween collection but the swirls look good for everyday!

The background panel is paper from Your Paper Insider, it has a suede feel! I'm not sure which box it's from, it's not the current box. But I will say again, it's so great to have specialty paper on hand! They release 4 boxes a year full of beautiful papers, shipping is included in the price! Subscription is of course a lower price, or you can wait to see if they release individual boxes at a slightly higher price. It's so worth the $29.95 (INCLUDES delivery!) to have a box of paper on hand.  Learn more HERE.

Sizzix Snowglobe #2 by Tim Holtz Rerelease

I was so happy to see the rerelease of the Sizzix Snowglobe #2 dieset by Tim Holtz. I didn't really become a Tim Holtz addict until 2020, so I missed quite a few sets. Here are the ones I ordered. I didn't order the Merry Moose and now I wish I had. Maybe I'll place another order. LOL.

I actually inked each piece individually with Distress inks. I had diecut the pieces trying to figure out which pieces went together and was going to mark each one with a Sharpie. When I turned the die over I saw that Sizzix had already done that! What a nice touch. Putting these together are a labor of love but I feel like it is what makes the card look so special. I love everything about Tim's images. They are so special.

My background is the Entangled embossing folder, I used the small size which is discontinued but may still be available. The new Entangled is the larger size, A5. I rubbed a brown Distress ink pad on the raised areas of the embossing folder before running it through my Big Shot.

The sentiment is from Stampers Anonymous, Christmas Tiny Text. I stamped the entire sheet on black cardstock and white heat embossed it so I have an entire page of sentiments on hand.

I added a bit of Distress Rock Candy to the snowy areas. So pretty.

I've go a lot more to make, these are so much fun and really inspire my creativity. If you haven't seen Tim's YT video, it's worth a watch. My card was inspired by an art piece by Tami, you should see it!

Enjoy the making. I did.
