Spellbinders Aged to Perfection: HBD Balloons and Dancin' Chatterbox

 

Today I'm sharing 2 cards using diesets from the Spellbinders Aged to Perfection Collection. You can see the entire collection by clicking HERE.

For my first card I used the HBD Balloon dieset. I used some fun glitter cardstock from Your Paper Insider for the balloons. It's a bit hard to see the shapes with the glitter but I think it's festive. The glitter paper is from Your Paper Insider. You can get one sheet of it in Box 14 of assorted papers or you can buy a pack of it, I listed it under supplies. (Note: Your Paper Insider has gone out of business.)

The sentiment is from the collection's stamp set sentiments, Birthday Laughs. I love a funny sentiment for birthdays, seems like a lot of people do as the set is selling FAST. Hopefully there will be a restock soon. I like how the balloon strings frame the sentiment.

I used Perfect Touch Rectangles to cut out the stitched rectangles.

For my second card, I used the Dancin' Chatterbox dieset. The legs on the chatterbox swing back and forth. There's a hole cut out of the back of the legs, I used 2 stacked round pop dots to raise the legs off the card so they would swing freely. I also placed some pop dots behind the head to adhere the shape to the card. There are fun googly eyes that you can buy with this collection that fit perfectly on the chatterbox for extra fun.

The polka dot paper is from Scrapbookcom, I diecut it with Pinking Rectangles.

 

The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

I used some older products to go with the cute skunk, the Gorgeous You Perfume Bottle, the Perfect Arches dieset, the Club Blooms and the Classic Mouse Love Rub Ons for the sentiment. 

I diecut everything from scraps I had in my stash. The skunk is cut from white and black glitter cardstock. The Club Blooms are lightly inked with Distress Ink on the edges.

Pretty simple. If you love the skunk, HURRY! Supplies are limited.

Spellbinders Make It & Bake It Collection

 

Too cute! The new Spelbinders Make It & Bake It Collection by Tina Smith. You can see the entire colleciton by clicking HERE.

It makes adorable cards but would be great on scrapbook/journal pages, recipe cards or what I want to do, make a recipe book.

My family made a recipe book which was printed with photos, everyone submitted recipes which was great. I want to make a small one and insert recipe cards. Coming soon, visit again!

These cards are 5 x 6.5", the images are fairly large. They can fit on a standard A2 size card but I wanted to include a lot of images. 

I used some scraps of glitter cardstock for the "icing" and the sentiment.

For this card I used some printed cardstock from Scrapbookcom in addition to some scraps. I used glossy accents on the cherries and chocolate chips.

Spellbinders February 2026 Small Die of the Month

 

I'm always surprised at the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month, it's never small! I used all the pieces included in this month's dieset, Spring Haul. What a great value at $17.50 if you join the club, you can quit at any time. You can wait until the 10th of the following month to see if it's still available for individual purchase but it will be $27!

I pulled out a background I had in my stash. I make these when the mood strikes and put them in a shoebox so I always have a background ready. This one is on watercolor paper and I used Brutus Monroe Aqua Tints, dipped and spattered.

The Spring Haul dieset includes all the dies I used for this card, the Happy Easter is a from an old BetterPress plate set by Simon Hurley.

I used lots of scraps to cut out all the little pieces of plants and eggs. The wheelbarrow is a piece of copper metallic cardstock that I aged with black acrylic paint. I love the design detail on the wheelbarrow.
