Here are the 5 dies included in this month's kit. You can use them in a variety of ways depending on how much stitching you'd like to do. I chose the coverplate and the flower image to stitch. I cut the coverplate and the center from white 110 lb cardstock. I only cut the coverplate once and it was fine, but I think next time I'll cut it 2x and glue them together just to make it more sturdy.
I used pink and green glitter cardstock from Your Paper Insider. These papers are from the current box, Box 6. It's a subscription paper box, 4 times a year they send a surprise box of specialty paper. You can check it out here. You can subscribe and quit and at any time (even after 1 delivery).
The Stitching Die of the Month is also a subscription that you can join and quit at any time. Or you can wait until the 10th of the following month and just buy this die, if they are still available. There are other clubs, I personally like the 3D embossing folder of the month!
I really enjoyed stitching this coverplate. I didn't use any fancy stitches, just a plain straight stitch and a french knot for the center of the small purple flowers. Best to use a DMC embroidery needle to stitch cardstock. It fits nicely through the holes but is sturdy and easy to thread! You can buy these at any store that carries embroidery thread or you can order it on the Spellbinders site.
I decided to use my BetterPress for the "Smile" sentiment (from the "Friend Like You Bouquet" set) and Archival Ink in Vivid Chartreuse (lime).
I have a few more ideas for this set, coming soon!
