This scene is pretty cute to me, it's the Spellbinders May Stitching Die of the Month for May. The Stitching Die of the Month is a club that ships once a month but you can cancel at anytime. So you can join and cancel the club once it ships and still get the discounted price! But there's more advantages to joining a Spellbinders Club, (there are several) read about the perks HERE.
For an indoor scene, I really like using a piece of patterned paper, it looks like wallpaper and sets the scene for the colors for the diecuts.
The main diecut is the chair. I did just a little stitching, the vertical lines in blue thread. I could have stitched the back of the chair but I didn't like the way that looked, so I decided to use small gold gems. I think they look perfect, like buttons! The chair is cut from some pretty cool paper that feels like faux suede. That paper was in a box from Your Paper Insider. So was the paper for the background and the rug. I can't stress enough how having a box of specialty paper on hand really ups your creativity. There is a new box of paper out right now, Box 11. Unfortunately, Box 10 is sold out. You can join the club or just buy a single box. The club ships 4x a year. All the prices listed include shipping! Click HERE to check it out, it's worth looking.
I could have stitched the lamp, but I cut it from metallic cardstock and thought it looked good like that. There's another die that looks like fringe for the lampshade but I didn't use it. Everything else is pretty self explanatory, isn't the cat cute?
