Today I have a card using the Spellbinders 3D Embossing Folder of the Month for September. I decided to use white cardstock and just highlight the pretty texture.
I used the 2 Pack Wax Seal Frames and dieset for the frame inserts. These are from the Spellbinders Holiday Magic Collection. You can see the entire collection by clicking HERE. I will tell you it's been extremely popular and sold out many of the products. Simon Says Stamp has some of the collection in stock, you can see it by clicking HERE. If you are especially interested in the rub-on pictures I used, I'd hurry and buy them at SSS.
I used gold wax beads and the wax bead melting kit. I poured the wax on parchment paper. It took about 4-5 beads to make the large rectangle seal. There is a die to cut out the rectangle and oval cardstock to insert into the wax frame. I used the Holiday rub-ons for the pictures. I used the DecoColor Marker to color the outline silver. These metallic ink pens come in a few different metallic colors. They are oil based markers, regular markers don't work on the wax seals.
The stems are from an old set, Holiday Blooms. I wanted the bottoms of the stems to peek out at the bottom, so I cut a few extra bottoms and hid it behind the seal so you couldn't see it was cut and pasted.
I used Distress Collage Medium (bottle or tub) to glue everthing in place, it's extra strong adhesive. I used some of the Spellbinders craft tape to tape the back of the string in place and some under the wax seal so the string wouldn't move. The craft tape comes in different widths, I have the 5/8". I use it to hold my thread in place on stitched cards. Its very strong.
Here's a one minute video showing how I made the seals.
Supplies are listed below with direct links to the stores that carry them. If you use my link to make a purchase, I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thank you for using my links, it really helps and encourages me to continue providing creative content.
*** Please note: This collection has been very popular. I did link the products but *** next to a store means that it was sold out at this store when I last checked. You can ask them to notify you when back in stock but I'm not sure if it will be restocked since it's Christmas product. Simon Says Stamp still had most in stock when I checked so I'd check there first and consider quickly buying it if you want it.
