Susanbcards: Tim Holtz Sizzix Fireside (Classic Rerelease)

I was so happy to see this dieset with the fireplace rereleased. It's called Fireside by Tim Holtz for Sizzix. The fireplace and the bow are included in the set. I added a bit of greenery from the Festive Wreath dieset and the small tree and gift from the Festive Things dieset.

The background is with the new Large Botanical 3D embossing folder. I needed a big one because my card is 5.5"x5.5", larger than the old Botanical embossing folder. After running it through my Big Shot, I used Broken China Distress ink and ran it lightly over the raised areas. I then took a blending brush and some Walnut Stain Distress ink and inked the edge of the paper to look aged.

Simon Says Stamp has a big selection of Tim Holtz diesets, I read that they recently have been restocked, some of the dies are difficult to find. You can see the selection by clicking HERE. Many of the Sizzix diesets are discontinued so if you see something you like, I'd act quickly.

To give the kraft cardstock a wood look, I dragged a small Distress ink pad over the top, horizontally. Pretty easy way to give the look to paper. Both the little tree and gift are cut from inked paper scraps.

I popped up the fireplace away from the yellow back, I wanted it to look 3D.

The sentiment is from Tim Holtz's tiny text Christmas stamps. I heat embossed the entire set on black cardstock and cut the pieces as I need to. No hunting for sentiments for me
