Ski-son's Greetings by Simon Hurley for Spellbinders

 

Today I'm using the new Spellbinders Ski-son's Greetings Collection by Simon Hurley. You can see the entire collection HERE.

This is a great collection for an avid skier! It also makes a card you can use for both males and females. The sentiments can be used for other cards, not just for the holidays. You can see them below under the supply list.

The embossing folder is so cute with the tracks from the skis. I used the Treasured Cardstock with the pretty shimmer.

I used the ski chalet and put the glitter cardstock on top for snow. I popped it up with foam tape. I cut the skiers clothes from white cardstock and ink blended the clothes Everything else is cut from scrap paper. The goggles on each of the skiers is cut from silver paper for extra shine. I save all my scraps from pecialty paper just for these extra details.

The sentiments are a BetterPress plate that I used black Glimmer hot foil on. The set is one piece for all the sentiments and includes the die to cut them all out!

Spellbinders Ingredient Buddies From the Buon Appetito Collection

 Today I'm sharing another set from the Buon Apetito Collection, called Ingredients Buddies. I added the spaghetti from an older set, see the supply list.

My arm is still in a sling, so I'm keeping this short. I added a little ink to the edges for dimension.

The sentiment is from the stamp set, pretty cute!

Spellbinders Buon Appetito Pasta Friends

Dancing Pasta is what I keep thinkiing of when I see this dieset. I have a fractured shoulder so I have only one good arm, my left, and I'm right handed. I'll keep this short. This set is adorable, check out the entire Buon Apetito collection by clicking HERE.

The backgrounnd is Crackling Campfire and Lumber Jack Plaid Distress Sprays on Mixed Media Paper. I  sprayed and swiped the paper, drying it between layers. I also spattered some white ink and Black Soot Spray Stain for a bit of pepper and parm. I used the Linear Touch Rectangle die to make a "plate" for the pasta.

 The black panel is 5"x7" embossed with the Al Dente 3D embossing folder from the same collection. I rubbed a white ink pad over the top.

I love the sentiment from the stamp collection! I know just who to send it to!

Spellbinders October 2025 3D Embossing Folder of the Month

 Let me start this post by saying I fractured my right shoulder and I'm typing with 1 hand. so I'm going to keep this brief. Luckily I made these cards a few days ago.

The Spellbinders October 3D Embossing Folder of the Month is called Brick by Brick.  You can learn more about the Spellbinders Clubs and the benefits of membership by clicking HERE. Remember you can quit the club at any time.

The bricks are small so they go well with these dies but know they make a cute background for anything or as a focal point.

For my first card I used an older die called Beyond the Door. I made a card in June with it and you can see it HERE. I wanted this card to have more of a holiday feel, so I added the little trees and made the flowers red. I diecut the wall and then embossed it, I love the way the brick looks. The sky is ink blended with Distress Oxides. I also added some Ranger Liquid Pearls and added it to the flower centers.

Here is my 2nd card using the City Holiday dieset. The brick adds a fun touch to my card. Here's the original:

Simon's Pawty from the Simon Says Stamp Sugar & Spice Release!

Today I'm sharing Simon's Pawty stamp set and Window Trio Dieset. Simon's Pawty is part of Simon Says Stamp's Sugar and Spice Release, you can see the entire collection by clicking HERE.

For the card on the left with the yellow background, I diecut the window out of the red paper, you can see I used that window on the left card. I diecut the window 2x from white cardstock and glued them together for sturdiness. The window opens, so I didn't want it to be flimsy.

I cut a piece of white cardstock to go behind the window. I stamped the dog onto the paper and colored it in with Copic markers. I stamped the same dog onto masking paper and fussy cut it out, then covered the stamped panel. I want to cover it so I can easily ink blend the background with yellow Distress Oxide ink (Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber). I then stamped the sentiment Missing You under the window. I thought that sentiment was perfect since it looked like the dog was waiting in the window for someone to come home.

I've used window/door dies in the past, I think they really work well with stamps. Here are 2 that I have made a few years ago. If you click on the photos you can read my blog posts for these cards.

 For my second card, I used the red window diecut and ink blended the window scene blue (Salvaged Patina, Broken China, Prize Ribbon). I fussy cut the dog, this time making it look like he's inside the house, ready to go out. LOL Time to pawty....party or potty?? Either way, pretty cute.
