Susanbcards: Spellbinders Sending Hugs by Simon Hurley

Sending Hugs is a new release from Spellbinders by Simon Hurley. You can see the entire collection by clicking HERE. Each animal dieset has it's own accessories and sentiment banner dies.

My favorite one is the Darling Dog, mostly because I just love dogs and made my card to look like my dog! Plus I just love the heart headband.

For my card, I used the Puffy Hearts stencil with Distress Oxides ink shades and then embossed it with the 3D embossing folder. I love this background!

For my Birthday Bear card, I used the dieset and made him look like a panda bear. I used Solar Pastes on black mixed media paper, let it dry. After it was completely dry, I took the puffy hearts embossing folder and ran a black ink pad over it and ran it through the diecutting machine. It makes the background slightly dark and makes the hearts stand out.

For the Congrats Cat card, I used pink Distress Oxides inks with the stencil, then sprayed each layer with Pity Party Solar Spray. The cat set also comes with a graduation cap but I used the martini glass since I don't know anyone graduating this year.

I thought each of these cards came out so fun and cute. Pretty easy!
