I embossed white cardstock with the Pineapple Pop embossing folder. I love the way a bit of texture looks on a card, so much better than plain white.
I always have pieces of inked cardstock on hand, the flowers are inked with Distress inks. By using inked cardstock, it gives some nice color variations on the the diecuts. The leaves are all just plain colored cardstock.
The Aloha sentiment is included in this dieset. I cut it from black 110 lb cardstock. The Al, o, and ha are all separate pieces. You can put a flower in place of the O, I've seen a few samples like that and it's pretty cute.
I only popped up the 2 red flowers in the center, everything else is just glued down. On the leaves I applied glue to the stems so the leaves stand up a bit.
