The stocking is made pretty much the same way as the Santa, the pieces are glued together and the stitching is the beads and any other fancy stitches you'd like to add, like the snowflakes. The package showed straight stitches in a few areas but I decided to just add some sequins. The sequins are from a company called Cartwright 's Sequins. They were available at Spellbinders but they sold out so I googled the company and they sell the sequins online.
FYI, you need to use wool or wool blend felt. The acrylic type doesn't cut cleanly. There is a bundle of felt available below, but I had some from Benzie Designs, they sell wool blend felt by the sheet. I've found I need the most in white, but I have but a sheet of each of the colors I've used. The bundle below has a nice assortment.
The dies don't have stitching holes, so you can easily make these in cardstock as well. Here's one I made in cardstock:
I still added the sequins but no beads or stitching. Cute!
There is an outline die which I added as a mat around the stocking but you don't have to if you don't want to. You can make a shaped card or adhere this to a folded card. From the assembly guide below you can see there are 2 dies the shape of the stocking. One is the exact size of the stocking when you assemble it. You won't see this at all once you glue all the individual pieces to it. The second stocking is slightly larger so you can have a white outline around the stocking. I like it with the outline but it ends up being a bit large for an A2 sized card.
