Back to my project, the Stitching Die of the Month, Butterfly Dance.
I chose to stitch the butterfly but included in the set are the same dies without the stitching holes so you can skip the stitching. I personally like the stitching on the butterfly and it was pretty simple stitching, just a few straight stitches. There's an butterfly outline die which I cut from black cardstock. I cut the antennae and body from a black glitter cardstock scrap.
The flowers are cut from inked cardstock scraps, they are inked with Distress inks. The blue background is so pretty up close. I used Your Paper Insider watercolor cardstock and dipped it into Brutus Monroe's Blue Aqua Pigment, Blue Chroma Mist, and Distress Mica Stains in Snow Flurries and Shiny Baubles. Snow Flurries is my favorite color, I'm on my 2nd bottle.
There is a cloud die included in this set, what a great addition. I cut it from white cardstock and added a little bit of ink blending.
I popped up the butterfly and one of the flowers. I added a few clear sequins, these are from the Spellbinders Advent calendar.
The Celebrating You sentiment is from the Suzanne Hue Birthday Wishes BetterPress plate and die set. I always need birthday cards so I BetterPressed a bunch of these sentiments.
