My weakness is knowing where to put the shadows. So I was so happy to get the Hero Arts, You're a Classic stamp and stencil. You can see the entire collection HERE. There are 3 stencils, one that adds the overall color and 2 stencils that add layers of shading from medium to dark. I used Distress Inks in Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap and Hickory Smoke. Below is a quick video on how it works:
To use the pedestal with the statues, you need to mask the feet to avoid getting the lines from the pedestal on them. Rather than stamping the entire image on masking paper or a Post-It Note (which are expensive), I used a small piece of ONE INCH Mint tape. I attached the mint tape to a small piece of scrap paper. I did that to keep the tape from getting the adhesive side dirty and to make it easier to stamp and cut. You can remove it from the scrap paper without losing the stickiness and add it to the statue image. Mint Tape is great.
There are dies to cut out the stamped images and really cool pillar dies but I didn't receive those, you can see them below.
