Card and Gift Card Box in 1

This is a Box/Card I found on YouTube by MayMay Made It Crafts. Her box is a small square, while cute, I wanted one to fit a gift card and some Hershey Nuggets. So I changed the dimensions. See her video tutorial, it's great.
For the Card/Box:
(1) 3 3/4" x 12" solid green cardstock. Score at 3", 4 1/4", 7 1/4", 8 1/2" and 11 1/2".
(2) 2 3/4" x 3 1/2" solid white cardstock (for outside matt and inside the card)
(1) 2 1/2" x 3 1/4" patterned paper (for outside card, you can cut another one for inside card but I wanted a space to write a message.
(2) 3 1/2" x 1" white cardstock for side matt
(2) 3 1/4" x 3/4" patterned paper for side, glue onto the white.

For the gift card drawer:
(1) 5 1/4" x 6" white HEAVY cardstock. Score at 1 1/8" on all 4 sides
(2) 7/8" x 2 3/4" patterned paper for front and back of drawer (no matt needed)

1 piece of ribbon, 5" maybe a little less

Optional piece is the "All is Calm" print to decorate the front of the card. You can leave it off or stamp whatever you want.
Here I glued all the matts and printed paper. I stamped the sentiment on the white cardstock which when put together will be on the inside of the card. The cover of the card is the far right piece which I will pop up the All is Calm piece.
Here you can see how the box is folded and where the red tape is attached to create a box and card.
This is the white 5 1/4" x 6" piece of cardstock scored and burnished on all 4 sides. Here you can see where I cut up to the horizontal score lines on 2 opposite sides. I took a small notch out of the square piece so when the box is glued together there is no overhang. I also glued the last 2 printed pieces onto the front and back of the drawer.

I punched 2 small holes into the front of the drawer for the ribbon.

Glue the square tabs inside to form a drawer.

Altered Altoids Tin

I've been working on this altered Altoid Tin for a while. This is my 2nd one. I covered the entire tin with white gesso to prep the surface for the paint. After that dried, I used some Ranger Opaque Crackle Texture Paste in a few spots. I then used Folk Art Acrylic Paint in "Silver Marlin" randomly painted. I added some white acrylic paint in the same way. To add some aging I used Finnabair Patina Effect Pastes in Blue and Mint Green This came in a 3 jar set with a jar of Brass metallic paste. I used all 3 on every metal surface here: the compass the key, the band. I tied a piece of lace ribbon around the perimeter of the tin after aging it with some pigment ink. I used random scraps of paper and stamped Paris on the paper. The stamp is from a Tim Holtz stamp set.

Snarky Gift Card Holders and box

I LOVE a funny sentiment stamp. Ok, they're a little snarky but you have to snicker a little! This stamp set if from Hero Arts, "Snarky Christmas Messages". They aren't really to give to children, but are perfect for older teens and adults. So what do I give older teens and adults for Christmas? Money or gift cards. It's so boring to put in an envelope or a card, or worse yet hand them the gift card still glued to the cardboard that it was hanging on at the grocery store! So I always make little boxes or fun holders. Here are 3 I made. I love making things that need to be measured and glued. I wish making little boxes was a career, LOL.
This one I found on YouTube but I can't remember whose tutorial it was. It's a z fold card, sideways. The printed paper is by Pebbles, "Cozy and Bright" pad I bought last year. The die cut leaf is by Simon Says Stamp "Christmas Foliage"

This great box is called a Card and Box, on MayMay Made It's YouTube channel. The box has a drawer that pulls out to hold your small gift (gift card won't fit inside) The card on top is attached to the box, all in one. The printed paper is by Recollections, I bought it last year at Michaels.

This saying is so funny, "This is all you get when you stop believing in Santa"

Here's the inside. The printed paper is by Paper Studio, "Old World Winter" 6x6 pad from Hobby Lobby.  The punchboard gift card holder is from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts YouTube channel.

Peeking Santa Shaker Card

This is my first shaker card, it was surprisingly easy! I had wanted to do this Santa peeking through a window for a while, and I felt the panel needed to be popped for depth. When I thought about it, I knew this could be an opportunity to try a shaker card.

I used an Exacto knife to cut a rectangle smaller than the window but large enough to be able to see through the window panes. This mistletoe paper is the wallpaper in the room.
I cut the window out of white cardstock and you can see it fits perfectly over the window, I glued it on, then glued on a piece of clear acetate so it would look like a window and keep the sequins inside.

After attaching the acetate, I double stack foam tape around the window on the backside of the panel. I added more double stacked foam tape to the corners of the card to keep the entire panel popped. Be sure there are no gaps for the sequins to be able to fall out. The recessed area will keep the sequins in place.
I carefully placed the Santa image on a white card front. Be sure to place it so the Santa can see through the window, I lightly penciled where I wanted to glue the image down after testing it out with the window panel. I then filled the window with clear sequins and matched up the card to the panel front.

Santa stamp by Stampendous (I've had it for years, it's a mounted rubber stamp). Sequins were from the $1 bin at Target, 3 different sizes of clear sequins. Window die was a gift with no markings on it. The "Season's Greeting" sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

Happy Holidays!

Simon Says Stamp Reindeer

This was one of those dies I cut and just stared at for days. I took the diagonal striped embossing folder and rubbed Color Box Scarlet pigment ink over the raised side and ran it through the BigShot.
I then decided to add more layers to the card because when in doubt, ADD MORE. I cut a large circle in red cardstock and then ran that through the embossing folder, because it needed something. When in doubt, ADD TEXTURE. The reindeer is supposd to just be an outline but after cutting it our of the beautiful Tim Holtz shimmer paper, how could I throw away the pieces? I tied a scrap piece of red ribbon around it's neck.

I then took a scrap piece of vellum and using Encore Ultimate Metallic pigment ink in Silver, I stamped "Peaceful" from the SSS Holiday Greeting 1 stamp set. I heat embossed it with Sterling Silver Stampendous Embossing Powder. I wrapped the vellum around the card and attached it in back. I cut a piece of fun foam a little bit smaller than the card front and popped and glued the whole thing to a piece of metallic silver cardstock I bought at Michaels.

Is it almost Valentine's Day yet?

Sizzix Tropical Leaves 3D Embossing Folder

This was a fun background to make. I bought the Sizzix Tropical Leaves 3D Embossing Folder a while ago, I ran a heavy piece of cardstock over it and then left it on my desk, where it stared at me everyday. Well, one day I was going through my ink drawer and saw an old set of Memento Dew Drops in shades of green. When I say old, I mean old, like over 5 years old. They were on the dry side so I ran one over the embossed paper and it looked pretty good, so I ran the rest of the colors over the cardstock and it look pretty to me, like I spent a lot of time coloring the leaves.

Here's a photo of all the products I used to create this card. The sentiment is from the Altenew Pen Sketched Flowers stamp set. I'm going to enter this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, "Thinking of You".

Joyful Snowflake

I blended my 3 favorite Distress Oxide ink colors, Fossilized Amber, Ripe Persimmon and Candied Apple, starting in the center with the lightest shade and moved outward to the darkest.

I then took the paper and put it into a Darcie snowflake embossing folder and ran it through the Big Shot.
I ran a white ColorBox pigment ink over the raised areas so they would stand out.
I cut the Sizzix snowflake out of heavy white cardstock and then cut it again in fun foam so I could easily pop it. I used Wink of Stella on the snowflake for a little shimmer.  The beautiful Joyful die is by Simon Says Stamp. I cut it 2x in kraft, once in gold cardstock. The matching shadow die I cut from silver glitter cardstock.

Pinkfresh Studio Leafy Envelope die

This card is pretty straightforward. I took the Pinkfresh Studio Leafy Envelope die and added some Poppystamps die cut poinsettia to make it a Christmas card. I cut the greenery from the envelope die 2x to add some dimension and a different shade of green. The patterned paper is by Pinkfresh Studio. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. I added some yellow Liquid Pearls to the center of the poinsettia, just to add a little pop of color.
