This is my first shaker card, it was surprisingly easy! I had wanted to do this Santa peeking through a window for a while, and I felt the panel needed to be popped for depth. When I thought about it, I knew this could be an opportunity to try a shaker card.

I used an Exacto knife to cut a rectangle smaller than the window but large enough to be able to see through the window panes. This mistletoe paper is the wallpaper in the room. |
|
I cut the window out of white cardstock and you can see it fits perfectly over the window, I glued it on, then glued on a piece of clear acetate so it would look like a window and keep the sequins inside. |
|
After attaching the acetate, I double stack foam tape around the window on the backside of the panel. I added more double stacked foam tape to the corners of the card to keep the entire panel popped. Be sure there are no gaps for the sequins to be able to fall out. The recessed area will keep the sequins in place.

I carefully placed the Santa image on a white card front. Be sure to place it so the Santa can see through the window, I lightly penciled where I wanted to glue the image down after testing it out with the window panel. I then filled the window with clear sequins and matched up the card to the panel front.
Santa stamp by Stampendous (I've had it for years, it's a mounted rubber stamp). Sequins were from the $1 bin at Target, 3 different sizes of clear sequins. Window die was a gift with no markings on it. The "Season's Greeting" sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.
Happy Holidays!
